Querida Familia,

It is hard to believe we have already reached the halfway point of 2026. This year has reminded us, time and again, that progress and hardship often exist side by side. While our community has much to celebrate, we also carry the weight of challenges that continue to test our resilience.

Our hearts are with our Venezuelan hermanos y hermanas facing the devastating aftermath of the recent earthquakes. Thousands of families have seen their lives turned upside down at a time when the country was already navigating extraordinary hardship. We encourage everyone in our Unidos family to reach out to your Venezuelan friends and neighbors, offer support where you can, and keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Here at home, many recent national decisions and policy changes have created uncertainty for immigrant communities, LGBTQ+ individuals and families, and others who have long fought for equal opportunity and dignity. Regardless of where these decisions originate, they serve as an important reminder that our work is far from finished. The path toward equity has never been a straight line. Progress requires persistence, courage, and a willingness to continue showing up for one another.

That is exactly what makes our movement so important.

In June, Unidos in Power hosted another successful Dímelo Talk in Lynn, bringing together students, community leaders, educators, business leaders, and advocates for an evening of meaningful conversation about the future of our Latino community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce the final two Dímelo Talks of 2026 before the end of July. We hope you will join us as we continue building conversations that inspire action across the Commonwealth.

This is also an important season for Unidos in Power. In the coming weeks, we will release our Second Annual Latino Representation in Massachusetts State Government Report, followed by our Year Two Progress Report on the Unidos in Power 2030 Roadmap. These reports are more than numbers—they are a measure of where we are, where we are making progress, and where we must continue to push for change.

Finally, I have one simple request.

If Unidos in Power has inspired you, informed you, or connected you to others, please invite someone else to become part of this movement. We are currently holding our Unidos Cup, a friendly competition among Latin American countries to see which community can recruit the most new members. Every new member strengthens our collective voice and helps us build a movement that reflects the strength, diversity, and potential of the Latino community across Massachusetts.

Together, we are proving that when we organize, collaborate, and lead with purpose, our community becomes impossible to ignore.
