Date: May 14th, 2025

Latino Leadership Matters—And Massachusetts Has Work to Do!

Grace Moreno, an ex officio member of Unidos in Power’s Executive Committee, joined WBUR to discuss the coalition’s first annual Representation Report, which highlights a critical gap: although Latinos make up 15% of the state’s population, they hold only 3.7% of executive roles in Massachusetts state agencies.

“This isn’t about politics. It’s about building a stronger Commonwealth where everyone contributes to our shared future,” Grace said in the interview—calling for urgent action to expand leadership pipelines and implement inclusive hiring practices at the highest levels of government.

The report offers data-driven insight—and a clear call to action.
